Welcome to The Cobalt Room!
The Cobalt Room is the name my studio, inspired by the name of an after hours club that used to operate at the old Gramercy Park Hotel. The Hotel changed hands in 2005 and the contents were sold off. I was particularly interested in the glass, but I got other notable goodies including an art deco closet door, bar supplies, a great $5 chair and 8 crystal lamps. The blue glass was the hotel's attempt at swankiness but it the end it was just threadbare chic.
My neighborhood doesn't really have a name, but has often been called "the vicinity of Gramercy Park."
